This year it's the 20th Anniversary of the Great British R& B Festival which takes place on Friday 28th to Monday 31st August in Colne, Lancashire.

The Great British R & B Festival has a reputation for showcasing R & B talents in a family friendly atmosphere. This year the festival will have some of the blues artists who performed at the very first festival in 1990. The festival has three main stages, The International, British, and Acoustic, as well as various events happening in 'Roadhouse Venues'.

The International Stage features:
Friday 28 August: Connie Lush & Blues Shouter, King Pleasure & the Biscuit Boys, Ten Years After, and Alvin Youngblood Hart.
Saturday 29 August: John Jorgenson Blues Quartet, Zoot Money & Big Roll Band, Deborah Bonham Band, Louisiana Red & Michael Messer Band, The Blues Band featuring Paul Jones, and Coco Montoya.
Sunday 30 August: Miller Anderson Band, Paul Lamb & the Kingsnakes, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Jan Akkerman, Eric Bibb, and Stan Webb & Chicken Shack.
Monday 31 August: The Animals & Friends, Spencer Davis Group, The Alan Price Set, Brian Auger's Oblivion Express, Mick Taylor, and The Stumble.

The other stages have not yet been announced.

When booked before Saturday 27th June full festival tickets that give unlimited access to all the venues for the whole weekend are on sale for £95 for adults and half price for children (up to 16 years of age). International Stage Day tickets are also available and range from £25 to £35 for adults. Camping for a full weekend is priced at £34 or £12 per day. To buy tickets online, click here.
