The 42nd Fylde Folk Festival takes place from Friday 29th until Sunday 31st  August 2014 at various venues Fleetwood, Fylde, Lancashire and promises to be a celebration of Folk Music Song and Dance. The Fylde Folk Festival attracts around 3000 people every year including festival & club organisers, agents, concert promoters, arts organisations etc who have come to enjoy the music and the friendly atmosphere in the various hotels, pubs and outdoor events.

There will be over 120 different events taking place - music, dance, poetry and much more.

Venues

The festival venues are diverse, ranging in size from small personal rooms above local pubs to the Marine Hall seating over 700 people. The Marine Hall also houses the Wyre Lounge which features many popular real ales.

There are also various workshops held at Fylde.

An early bird weekend ticket is priced at £75. Tickets for children under 11 years old are free. Tickets for children aged 11 - 16 yrs are half price.

Marine Hall at The Esplanade in Fleetwood is where check is on arrival at the festival with ticket & information desks in the Foyer open from 10.30am on Friday & 9.30am on Saturday and Sunday of the festival.

Camping

There is an additional fee of £10 per adult for Camp/Caravan site tickets which will only be on offer to weekend ticket holders. This fee applies to all people over 16 years of age who want to use the Camp or Caravan Sites during the festival weekend. For children 11 years to 16 years please request a camp/caravan permit (free). Children under 11 years of age do not need a permit. Camping opens at noon on Thursday until noon on Monday.

Additional free services

Weekend ticket Holders also have access to free showers & swimming, free entry to Craft Fair, and a free festival bus service.
