The Firegathering Festival returns for its sixth year from Friday 22nd until sunday 24th May 2009, the bank-holiday weekend. This not-for-profit performing arts festival is nestled in the Sussex countryside, and brings together live bands, cabaret and circus acts, workshops, fun, and games.

The entertainment throughout the weekend spans live music, DJ's, cabaret and we also have educational workshops, story telling and a healing space. The ethos for the event is participation, collaboration and to provide a stage for artists in a fun and friendly atmosphere. This is an all inclusive platform for upcoming and old bands alike.

The acts confirmed include 12 Stone Toddler, No 1 Station, Shona Foster, The Amigos, The Adventurists, Diagonal, Luckyhorse, Savage Lucy, Rapskallion, KateGoes, Duologue, Rebel Control, Punch & the Apostles, Gran Torino, Man Ray Sky, Los Albertos, Gypsy Squat Pop Project, and more, with more still to be announced. Expect two Indian marquees with the stages in. The largest tent contains the bar and the smaller tent offers freshly made Indian chai, cakes, teas and coffee courtesy of the Lunched Out Lizards chai cafe. Additionally, there is usually a pool room with DJ's and workshop space, a designated fire performance area, a well stocked real ale bar and caterers offering food during the weekend.

There is camping space provided with a toilet block located adjacent to the camping area featuring flushing, mains water toilets. Plus a number of portaloos including a disabled toilet.

The festival also has sauna and jacuzzi facilities onsite. Workshops are epxected to include Tai Chi, juggling, spinning (and poi), and an expanded healing space

Tickets are on sale at an early bird price of £59, normally priced at £69. For the duration of 2008 a limited number of tickets are discounted, until 31st December or until they run out.
