The inaugural UK Deathfest takes place at Leeds University Union, Leeds on Sunday 3rd May, and is put together by the team behind Damnation Festival.

The festival will feature two stages; a main stage of predominantly death metal and an alternative second stage offering doom, sludge, grind and possibly thrash. The line-up will feature 16 bands in total with Vader headlining plus Akercocke, The Rotted, Ingested, Desecration, Reth, Benediction, Infected Disarray, Origin, and Dam. Festival organiser Gavin McInally says, "Following the continued success of our Terrorizer Stage at Damnation Festival over the past four years, we felt it was time to give some the UK's most brutal talent the main stage to themselves."

Doors will open early in the afternoon at UK Deathfest with bands being staggered between the stages throughout the day.
