The annual Fairport Convention reunion, also known as Cropredy Festival, will take place from Thursday 7th to Saturday 9th August 2008.

As in previous years, it will be a 3 day festival, with Fairport Convention closing the festival on the Saturday.

The acts for the festival have now been announced. Playing on Thursday are Anthony John Clarke, Whapweasel, folk-rock 'Supergroup' The Gathering, folk duo John Tams and Barry Coope, and headlining will be Supergrass.

The Levellers, (celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year) will headline the Friday which also has The Family Mahone, Peggy & PJ Wright, 3 Daft Monkeys, Jeana Leslie and Siobhan Miller, Stackridge, Joe Brown and his band, and Paul Brady.

Also announced is Richard Digance, Bob Marley tribute band Legend, Muffin Men featuring Jimmy Carl Black, Julie Fowlis and her band, and Midge Ure who will play at on the Saturday with master of ceremonies for the day being 'Whispering' Bob Harris.

The festival runs from 4pm - 11pm Thursday, Noon - midnight Friday and Saturday. Camp sites open 9am Thursday.

It's a very friendly festival with great ales, no sell-out out to rampant commercialism, and no huge ticket prices.

Ticket Prices
Online booking and advance sales have closed, and will only be available at the festival gates on the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of the festival. Prices for tickets purchased at the gate are:
Three-day tickets £80
Two-day tickets £70
Saturday-only £50

Tickets for children under 12 years old are free provided they are accompanied by an adult ticket holder.

Tickets are also sold at the festival entrances subject to availability.

Unlike many other festivals, here you can park your vehicle next to your tent. You MUST have a concert ticket for the day you arrive to camp or caravan. Space on the campsites is for concert goers only. If you wish to camp with friends or family you must meet up somewhere off-site and arrive together as spaces cannot be saved.

Camping is charged per vehicle (up to five occupants). For added convenience and security, tents are erected next to the camping party's vehicle. 3-day camping costs £30 per vehicle, 2-day camping is £25, and camping on Saturday night is free for people with a festival ticket. Motorcyclists, cyclists and backpackers arriving on foot can camp free of charge.

There'll be more information when available.
