The fifth Cosmic Puffin Festival will take place from Friday 4th until Sunday 6th May 2012 at Mersea Outdoors, Mersea Island, in Essex.

The festival is staffed and run entirely by volunteers in aid of Bliss, the special baby care charity and The National Autistic Society for people with autism and Asperger syndrome.

Line-up

There will be two main stages plus an acoustic stage, and a chill-out space with live acts and DJs who have given up their time free and freely to create a super friendly atmosphere.

Mawgan's Main Stage: (Up and coming bands midday-6pm Saturday and Sunday on the Cosmic Stage) - The MacGregors, Toby Watson, Flesh Roxon, Imfamous, Roxy wears Velvet, Intuition, Joe n Chig, Laura Doggett, Mojo, No Reply.

Cosmic Stage: Deferred Success, Surfquake, Scratch Infected, Matt White & The Emulsions, Newtown Kings, Hokie Joint, Apache John Band, Deviant Amps, Fashoda Crisis, My Bad Sister.

MyChoonz Stage: NUKLI, Aurora, Dr Hasbeen, Spiral Navigators, Paradise 9, Pandemonium, Bubbledubble.

Something Else Tea Tent: One Eye God, Slytones, Kundalini Drive, Lizzie B, Snake Oil, Lady Bird and The Larks.

Tickets

The early bird offer has ended. An adult ticket is priced at £45 (full price £50 on the gate) per person all weekend including camping, a teen (11-16 year olds) weekend early bird ticket is priced at £15 (full price £20), and kids are free when accompanied by paying adult. Campervans/live-in vehicle tickets are priced at £10 extra payable on the gate in cash. Day tickets are priced at £20 adults and £10 teens for Saturday or Sunday only. On site

The festival will be on the beach with an indoor stage overlooking the sea from the Bar. There will be a variety of local and not so local foods available, plenty of crafts, healing and activities for everyone including a Kids Area full of fun things to do and make, as well as workshops available. The festival will also offer real toilets and warm showers, and welcomes campervans.

Charities

The festivals' intention is to raise money and awareness for BLISS (helping babies born too soon).
