Cheltenham Jazz Festival features big international names alongside the best of British talent, with up to 17,000 festival-goers attending a wide variety of performances across the week. The festival will run from Wednesday 1st until Monday 6th May 2013.

The diverse programme is accessible through various routes, from performances at the the Town Hall and at the Everyman Theatre, and other venues, to education projects, or live jazz and fine food at restaurants plus a buzzing fringe in bars and clubs around town.


The latest addition is Dionne Warwick opening the festival with her only UK headline appearance of 2013. She joins Van Morrison, Noisettes, Lianne La Havas, Gabby Young & Other Animals, Laura Mvula, Jo Harman, Ravi Coltrane, Guy Barker Big Band, BBC Concert Orchestra, Fame, Emilia Martensson, Michael Roach And The Buck Clayton Legacy Band, Fresh Dixie Project & George Montague, Polar Bear & Roller Trio, Madeleine Peyroux, Natalie Duncan, Marius Neset, High Society, Tony Dudley Evans, Trondheim Jazz Exchange, Sarah Ellen Hughes Duo, Dave Douglas Quintet, Heather Masse, Stormy Weather, Alex Wilson's Trio Mali Latino, Go Go Penguin, Ravi Coltrane Quintet, Gregory Porter, Sons Of Kemet, Joe Stilgoe, Chico & Rita, Helena Jesele, Speakeasy, Reuben James Trio, Zara Mcfarlane, Troyk-Estra, Theo Jackson & Nathaniel Facey, Mike Gibbs Ensemble, Gregory Porter, Gary Burton Quartet, Mike Stern & Bill Evans Band, Barbacana, Claire Martin, Jason Adasiewicz's Sun Rooms, Trio Damba, and Jamie Callum.

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area. The Cheltenham Jazz Festival attracts over 17,000 people annually, so if you want to stay in Cheltenham during this period booking accommodation in advance of the event is a must.
