Cheltenham Jazz Festival features big international names alongside the best of British talent, with up to 17,000 festival-goers attending a wide variety of performances across five days. The festival will run from Wednesday 27th April until Monday 2nd May 2011.

The diverse programme is accessible through various routes, from performances at the the Town Hall and at the Everyman Theatre, and other venues, to education projects, or live jazz and fine food at restaurants plus a buzzing fringe in bars and clubs around town.

Line-up

Jamie Cullum returns to Cheltenham with brand new solo material along with Kit Downes, Andreya Triana and Norwegian group Susanna. Friday Night is Music Night will feature an array of excellent guest singers celebrating the music of Count Basie, Duke Ellington and more, celebrating the Royal Wedding with a party at Jazz on the Square. The festival will be closed by Hugh Laurie.

Other acts include Simon Amstell, Lamb, Roots Manuva + Bonobo, Liane Carroll, Cleo Laine, Overtone, James Hunter, Andy Sheppard – Trio Libero, Lucinda Belle Orchestra, Tord Gustavsen, Django Bates, Curios, Portico Quartet, Outhouse Quartet with Hilmar Jensen, Denys Baptiste, Stian Westerhus, Kyle Eastwood, Spin Marvel featuring Nils Petter Molvaer, Ben Powell, Sierra Maestra, Gwynweth Herbert, Chris Cundy & Exit Kit, The Horne Section, Sara Colman, Trondheim Jazz Project, Julian Arquelles & John Taylor, Stewart Lee + Steve Beresford and Tania Chen perform John Cage's Indeterminacy, Neil Cowley Trio, Alan Wilkinson Trio, Big Air, Brass Jaw, Phronesis, and Sam Crockatt Quartet.
