Cheltenham Jazz Festival features big international names alongside the best of British talent, with up to 17,000 festival-goers attending a wide variety of performances across five days. The festival will run from Wednesday 28th April until Monday 3rd May 2010.

The diverse programme is accessible through various routes, from performances at the the Town Hall and at the Everyman Theatre, and other venues, to education projects, or live jazz and fine food at restaurants plus a buzzing fringe in bars and clubs around town.

Line-up

The first acts to be confirmed are Paloma Faith headlining in an exclusive performance with The Guy Barker Big Band, plus Elaine Paige, Eric Bibb, Imelda May, Liane Carroll, Natalie Williams, Christine Tobin, Carla Bley, Trio VD and Empirical. See below for the full line-up of acts.

Jamie Cullum has been announced as the Guest Director for the 2010 Jazz Festival. Comedian Stewart Lee will be exploring the world of improvised jazz at this year's event. The festival will be showcasing rising talent from Norway (Farmers Market, and Beady Belle) and working on an education exchange with the Trondheim Conservatory and Birmingham Conservatoire.

New for 2010

Cheltenham Jazz Festival will be launching 'Jazz on the Square' in Imperial Gardens in 2010: a purpose-built Jazz Arena hosting headliners, free music, food and drink stalls and a jazz market.
