The Bury St Edmunds Festival celebrates its 28th year from Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th May 2013 and has grown to become one of East Anglia's best-loved arts events with a varied mix of contemporary and classical music, outdoor concerts, jazz, dance, theatre, film, poetry, talks, walks, workshops, street theatre and much more.

Line-up

Thursday: Aurora Orchestra with Bboy's Attic and Company Decalage, Christine Tobin: Songs of Leonard Cohen, James Thomas and Dan Soper, West Suffolk Youth Orchestra, West Suffolk Youth Wind Band, and West Suffolk Youth Big Band.

Friday: Michael Jackson tribute artist ' Navi' and his live band, Lesley Garrett, Emma Johnson, Andrew West, local folk talent, Matthew Barley, Simon Spillett, Tina May, and Chris Parsons.

Saturday: Jayson Gillham, Ramble with the Romantics, Retorica, Sierra Maestra, Street Theatre, Bury Bach Choir and soloists.

Saturday: Bury Busk, Cathedral Choir, Pavao Quartet & Tim West, The Alauda Quartet, chamber musicians from the Royal Academy of Music, Stacey Kent, State of the Union with Brooks Williams and Boo Hewerdine, Tallis Scholars, and West Suffolk Youth Jazz Orchestra.

There will also be weekday lunchtime concerts, pre-event suppers, art exhibitions, a kite-flying festival, a continental market, video window displays and more.

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
