The 13th UK international Boogie Woogie Festival will be held at various venues in Sturminster Newton, in Dorset from Friday 7th to Sunday 9th July 2017, and was formerly the 'Fomag' Boogie Woogie festival held in nearby Fontmell Magna.

Line-up

Headline acts Nirek Mokar, Neville Dickie, Henri Herbert, Christian Bleiming, Mike Denham, Hamish Maxwell, are joined by Julian Phillips, Big John Carter, Patrick Smet, Jelly Germain, Lasse Jensen, Caroline Podetti, Patrick McGuiness, Mel Barclay, Geert Van Bon, Brett Neville, Claire Hamlin.

The festival encompasses acts performing the form of piano music that is boogie woogie. Performing in concert, will be internationally acclaimed boogie woogie and blues pianists from the UK and from all around the world.

Tickets are currently on sale. A weekend pass with access to the launch party and all concerts is priced at £95. Individual tickets for specific concerts are also available.

There are also workshops in boogie woogie piano, swing and tap dance, drumming, history of boogie woogie and more with special workshops for children. There will also be informal sessions for enthusiastic boogie woogie pianists with a traditional bar room setting. Plus there will be food, wine, and real ales on offer.
