Lost At Sea 2013

Bestival organisers have launched a new arts event Lost At Sea taking place just before Bestival from Saturday 31st August until Thursday 5th September 2013. Featuring a programme of music, film, talks, theatre and comedy, Lost at Sea will be held in various venues around the island.

Line-up

Events include Rob da Bank’s King Kong Alternative Soundtrack in the woods; a theatrical Edwardian steam train adventure; supper with food critic Jay Rayner; Courtney Pine performing in a Minster; comedy with Andrew Maxwell; the Amazing Bubble Show; Sea Shanties; Philosophy Bites and HAG's theatre and puppetry.

Saturday 31st August: HAG - Quay Arts – Theatre - Ages 10+ - 2.30pm and 7.00pm (£11-£13)

Saturday 31st August: Rob da Bank's King Kong Alternative Soundtrack. Robin Hill Woods – Film with DJ - 7.00pm (£15)

Sunday 1st September : The Amazing Bubble Show. Medina Theatre – Kids Show Ages 2-11 - 11.00am (£5-10) 

Sunday 1st September : The Salon du The Express; an Edwardian Adventure by Rail. Isle of Wight Steam Railway – Family Theatrical Train Ride - 2.00pm (£15-25)

Sunday 1st September: Sea Shanty Sundowners with the Crew and Dollymopps. Little Gloster – Live Music – 4-30pm – 10 30pm (FREE) 

Monday 2rd September: Philosophy Bites: A Slice of Real Life. Royal Hotel – Talks and Dinner - 7.00pm (£30)

Tuesday 3rd September: Jay Rayner: A Greedy Man in a Hungry World. Little Gloster – Talk and Dinner - 7.00pm (£60) 

Tuesday 3rd September: Andrew Maxwell And Benny Boot. Quay Arts - Comedy - 8.00pm (£10) 

Wednesday 4th September: Courtney Pine supported by IOW Youth Orchestra. Newport Minster – Live Music - 7.30pm (£16)
