Beautiful Days 2024

Beautiful days is The Levellers own festival which they started to "offer not only the best in live music today but to re-create a community spirit that many events nowadays lack or choose to ignore. This event is about people young and old coming together and taking part in something that will be remembered for a long time." It's certainly succeeded in that aim, and has become one of the most popular festivals selling out year after year.

The dates for the 21st Beautiful Days are confirmed to be from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th August 2024 at Escot Park, near Fairmile, Devon, with gates opening on the Thursday afternoon.

Line-up

Beautiful Days, the Levellers’ annual family music festival have announced the full line-up for their 21st year with names including Richard Ashcroft, The Saw Doctors, Levellers, Richard Hawley, Fat Freddy’s Drop, The Damned, Toyah & Robert, Fisherman’s Friends, Hard-Fi, Inspiral Carpets, Badly Drawn Boy, New Model Army, Utah Saints, Cast, Lottery Winners, Third World, Pop Will Eat Itself, Dutty Moonshine Big Band, Bub Pistols, The Scratch, The Longest Johns, Thea Gilmore, Hotwax, Pale Blue Eyes, Pokey Lafarge, Stornaway, Sharon Shannon, Katherine Priddy, Le Vent du Nord,  and many more.

Levellers, as always, headline the Main Stage on the Sunday to close the weekend with a hit-rich set followed by the traditional firework spectacular.

The festival has music and entertainment over six stages plus walkabout theatre, amazing site art, a huge children’s area, a vast selection of food and traders plus real ale bars run by Devon’s Otter Brewery.

Disabled provision

The Disabled Campsite will have a named supervisor and team who will be based in an office at the campsite. The office will be stewarded 24hrs and will have information about the event, access around site, contacts and be there to assist with any queries or concerns you have during the event. They will meet and site everyone in the camping area as they arrive.

Organisers will do their best to ensure, in the event of wet weather, that information about alternative routes and/or assistance are made available for those in wheelchairs or with severe mobility issues to get to certain areas of the site.

Theatre Tent

The seated Theatre Tent features shows for children of all ages and adults with a programme including theatre, comedy, music, acrobatics, mime and magic, but with limited numbers it's best to get there early.

Extra-terrestrial and intergalactic.... supernatural, alien, fantastical or mythical. Full outfits or accessories, it's up to you - hope you'll join in the fun.

On site

As well as music there's street theatre, a healing area, lots of site art and sculpture, many children's activities in a large children's area in the centre of the festival, plus theatre, comedy, family camping, camping facilities, licensed bars from local company Otter Brewery, world food, craft stalls, fancy dress, a 'village shop' on site, and more. There is plenty of family camping close to the car parks, campervan fields, caravan pitches and some bell tent & tipi hire options still available.

Early entry Thursday

The gates are expected to once again be opening on Thursday to weekend campers. Gates will open to the car parks from 12 noon on Thursday and then the site itself will open from 2pm. Stages will not start until Friday afternoon but caterers, traders and bars will be open on Thursday. Festival goers must be off site by midday on Monday. The gates will close for entry and re-entry at 3.00pm on Sunday.

Please note

Please remember no fireworks, fire lanterns, glass, animals, open fires, petrol generators or unauthorised sound systems are permitted on site. If you bring any of these items you are putting the festivals licence at risk.
