Air Fusion Festival 2004

Now in it's fifth year, Air Fusion offers a programme of outdoor free performances - street entertainers, comedy, music (including pop and rock bands, reggae, junk band, African music, tabla, decks, show time), theatre and dance. Much of this is selected from young local groups, with professional acts throughout and headline bands at night providing a free platform for young local performers to be enjoyed by all. On the Contemporary Stage there'll be performances from Knowles Hill School, the Rosemary Woodwark school of dance and various stagecoach schools as well as belly dancing and workshops. On the main stage and in the dance tent, there are local and nationally-known performers and a big bunch of DJs.
This year's line-up is as follows:
Friday, on the Main stage: starting with Daddy Mango at 6pm; followed by Moefoe; The Crackers; Kyng Farouk; with Shorty headlining. In the Dance Tent: Scorpio; Ben McGowan; Ian McKenzie; Chris Finan; and Dom G.
Saturday, the Main stage, starts with a battle of the bands at 10am, followed by Soul Shaker; Skatanic; Knowles Hill School Junk Band; Steve Osman Band; Still Life; After The Blackout; Strange Days; Morris Bothers Band; Hombres Impossible, with Too Hot headlining. In the Dance Tent: 8 Bit Brry VS DJ Sneer start to get things going at 11am followed by Matt Springate; Mr Fish/Paul Bowden; Joe Freeze; Shorty DJs; DJ Herbtree; Jazzwax; Steve Darby; CRG; Ben McGowan; 4 Play with Matt Vinyl rounding things off between 10pm and 11.30pm.
Sunday, the Main stage, starts with Tall Sounds at 11am followed by the Battle Of The Bands Competition; MC Doozer feat and DJ Loctite; The Azadi Collective; Kronikel; Impulse; G & T; with Catch 23 between 5pm and 6pm. In the Dance Tent: after DJ Crusty, there'll be free DJ workshops from noon until 5pm and then Gentleman Jim.
