The 11th Fishguard Jazz and Blues Festival is held in Fishguard, Pembrokeshire over five days on the Bank Holiday Weekend from Thursday 21st until Monday 25th August 2014.

The annual AberJazz festival started as a jazz festival and now incorporates blues and new music. The event takes place in pubs, clubs and other venues throughout Fishguard and the surrounding area.

Line-up

This year the headline act is Jacqui Dankworth. The festival features a mix of local, national and international musicians, including:

Wednesday: Allspice
Thursday: Opening Ceremony with Ysgol Bro Gwaun Jazz Band and the Freewheelers, Nik Turner's Space Fusion, Ebony and Ivory, Chris Hodgkins and his band & The Sergei Istrati Trio, Half Deaf Clatch & Andrew McLatchie.
Friday: Half Deaf Clatch, The Tudor Rhythm Kings, Café Society & The Groucho Club, The Chris James Band, King Pleasure & the Biscuit Boys, Cut the Funk.
Saturday: Tom Gamble workshop, Swing hop workshop, African Drumming workshop, Mr Wilson's Second Liners, The Mustangs,Mr H, The Delta Breaks, Tap Dance workshop, Tom Gamble, Harmonica Workshop with Rick Asherson of Debbie Bond & Tru Dats, Eleanor McEvoy, Dale Storr, Lady Nade & the Silhouettes, Hideaway Trio, The Rumblestrutters.
Sunday: Lady Nade workshop and jam, Bella Collins & the Blue, Dale Storr, Lowri Evans, Blues Guitar workshop, Mr H, Salsa workshop, Jacqui Dankworth, Debbie Bond & The Tru Dats, Fiesta Resistance, Whisky Business, The Outlanders, Blues Duo, Bella Collins & The Blue, Isq.
Monday: Ukulele Workshop with Gemma & Carl, Blues Duo, Allspice & David Pepper and Friends, The Jazzabelles, Swingology, The Tango Jazz Quartet, The Aberjazz Party with The Brownfield Byrne Hot Six.

Tickets for 2014 are now on sale. Events range from free to £15.

There are many free events throughout the town over the weekend.

The festival will also offer workshops. You can try drumming and rhythm, making instruments from anything, guitar, ukulele, and salsa. Or just come along and listen to the fun!
