Giles Cooper of Heritage Live said:

“We’re delighted to be able to bring the peerless Van Morrison to the Royal Sandringham Estate. Van’s ability to create timeless music and his amazing live show will create a really unique and historic musical moment in these incredible surroundings.”

Van Morrison’s matchless song-writing and vocal talents have seen him produce an incredible body of material throughout the course of his career that has seen him traverse, and indeed master, everything from the British R&B, in which he originally made his name, to Jazz, Celtic and Soul.

Though also experimenting in these different genres, Van Morrison’s commercial success is well documented – ‘Brown Eyed Girl’, ‘Gloria’, ‘Here Comes The Night’, ‘Jackie Wilson Said’, ‘Bright Side Of The Road, ‘Have I Told You Lately’ – the list goes on.

Born of his Irish Showband instincts, the magic of the live performance has been a consistent feature of Morrison’s career. Over the course of his fifty year career Van Morrison has been recognised with awards and accolades such as a Knighthood, a Brit, an OBE, an Ivor Novello, 6 Grammys, honorary doctorates from Queen’s University Belfast and the University of Ulster, entry into The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and the French Ordres Des Artes Et Des Lettres, which all attest to the international reach of Van’s musical art.

Van Morrison will release ‘Moving On Skiffle’, an album inspired by his childhood love of skiffle music, on 10th March 2023.

Squeeze first formed in 1973, shortly after Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook had begun their songwriting partnership. By 1977 they had made their recording debut and enjoyed a string of hits including ‘Cool for Cats’, ‘Up The Junction’, ‘Labelled with Love’, and more. Following solo careers, the Ivor Novello Award-winning duo reunited in 2007 to relaunch Squeeze and have been touring, writing and recording together ever since, returning to the UK Album Charts and airwaves with 2015’s ‘Cradle To The Grave’ and 2017’s ‘The Knowledge’.

Formed in Glasgow in the early 80s, Del Amitri have been a fixture on music charts since the release of their second studio album, ‘Waking Hours’, in 1989 which spawned the timeless hits ‘Kiss This Thing Goodbye’ and ‘Nothing Ever Happens’. With further albums featuring hits including ‘Always the Last to Know’ and ‘Roll to Me’, the band went on hiatus in the mid 00’s before reuniting in 2014, and released their most recent album ‘Fatal Mistakes’ in 2021.

The show will be opened by the Old Time Sailors, who take audiences back to the 19th Century with their immersive experience of seafaring music performed with traditional instruments.

Heritage Live will be actioning a sustainability plan across the Sandringham Estate concerts in order to adhere to the most up to date advancements in green large scale live music event staging.

Also announced for Heritage Live at the Royal Sandringham Estate is Robbie Williams, who will perform two exclusive shows for 2023 on 26th and 27th August. Both events are sold out.
