Many more acts have been announced for WOMAD - World of Music, Arts and Dance - held at Charlton Park, near Malmesbury, in Wiltshire from Thursday 26th to Sunday 29th July 2018. Now in its thirty sixth year, WOMAD features a colourful medley of music, dance, food, art, spoken-word, poetry, science and other family fun, bringing together artists and fans from all over the world. 

The new additions include Leftfield performing Leftism live, Bombay Bicycle Club's frontman Jack Steadman with his soulful, funk-tinged and jazz-rooted sounds as Mr Jukes (UK), and the global fusion of Thievery Corporation (USA).

There's also (alphabetically) Abatwa (Rwanda), Amparanoia (Belgium), Bollywood Brass Band & Jyotsna Srikanth (India), Colectivo Danza Region & Camara de Danza Comunidad (Colombia), DJ/producer Daniel Haaksman (Germany), African hip-hop from Daara J Family (Senegal), Edmar Castaneda & Andrea Tierra (Colombia), banjo & percussion from duo Evie Ladin & Keith Terry (USA), traditional Turkish sounds from Gaye Su Akyol (Turkey), Hanggai (China) - pictured above at WOMAD 2010, a first UK show from Hashmat Sultana (India), son and salsa with reggae and dancehall from Havana Meets Kingston (Cuba/Jamaica), afrobeat from K.O.G & the Zongo Brigade (Ghana), Macka B (UK), Baltic folk from Mari Kalkun (Estonia), jazz folk and East African fusion from Meklit (Ethiopia), Orchestre Les Mangelepa (Democratic Republic of Congo), funky ethiopian sounds from Selamnesh Zemene & Badume Band (Ethiopia), folk from Talisk (UK), Tuuletar (Finland), The Original Gypsies of Carmargue (France), and bluegrass from Whiskey Shivers (USA).
