Fairport Convention will open the St Ives September Festival of Music and the Arts which offers music, visual arts, poetry, literature, theatre and cinema around St Ives, in Cornwall from Saturday 10th to Saturday 24th September 2016.

Other additions to the line-up include Rick Wakeman, The Blockheads, Sound of the Sirens, Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin, Juan Martin, Nate Najar Trio, Budapest Cafe Orchestra, Phil Beer, Baka Beyond, St Ives Choirs, and Watershed.

Ticket prices vary depending upon event.

Ticketed gigs take place at The Guildhall and The Western Hotel which hosts a full programme. There will be music of all types in the Guildhall and the Pubs.

Other attractions include arts workshops and classes, arts exhibitions, talks, walks, theatre, comedy, films, cabaret, street entertainment, poetry, and many other events. As well as Open Studios, where local artists open their workspaces to the public in order to feature their work in art, ceramics, textiles and glass, plus a Film Season, and more.
