Prince announced for Hungary's Sziget Festival

With under three weeks to go until Hungary's Sziget Festival, Prince has been announced as the headliner of 'Day Zero' which takes place traditionally before the festival. This year falling on Tuesday 9th August when only a few stages are open.

Prince, who appears at Sziget Festival for the first time tops a line-up that includes New York's The Klezmatics, Serbian Boban & Marko Markovic Gypsy Orkestar, and Russian ska band Leningrad.

Each year alongside international stars the line-up also includes established Hungarian names and this year they will be Magyar Radio Symphonic Orchestra, Pannonia All-Stars Ska Orchestra, Vastaghuros Swetter Zenekar, Heaven Street Seven, Balkan Fanatik, Isten Hata Mogott, Hiperkarma, Freshfabrik, Budapest Bar, Ruzsa Magdi, and Caramel.

Sziget takes place on Óbudai-sziget ("Old-Buda Island"), an island in the Danube, Budapest, Hungary. 2011's Sziget Festival will be from Wednesday 10th to Monday 15th August, with camping available from the Monday 8th August. There are actually two days of events before the festival proper, 'Day One' which features only Hungarian acts, and 'Day Zero'.
