Norwegian Black Metallers Immortal are the first act to be confirmed for Bloodstock 2011.

With the dust still settling after last weekend's festival, where after Cannibal Corpse's heavy set, Bloodstock revealed the first headliner for 2011. The news of Immortal's only UK show of 2011 via a two-minute trailer on the main stage video screen and was welcomed with cheers from the Bloodstock crowd, leaving no doubt that the Norwegian Black Metallers's first ever UK festival performance will be a highly anticipated one.

Bloodstock Open Air festival will take place from Friday 12th until Sunday 14th August 2011 at Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, in South Derbyshire. The aim is to offer a traditional metal event comparable to those regularly seen in Europe (but on a smaller scale of 6,000-10,000 capacity), and capturing the spirit of the original Monsters Of Rock shows which used to take place at Castle Donington during the 1980's and 1990's.

As well as the international heavy metal bands across three stages, Bloodstock offers a large selection of merchandise stalls, metal karaoke, a campsite and a wide selection of food and bars.

Early bird tickets are on sale priced at £95 for adults, and £10 for a car parking pass. As of 15th December 2010 All Bloodstock festival tickets will increase in Price. Day tickets, and child tickets are expected to be on sale at a later date.
