A second batch of acts have been announced for this year's Loopallu festival which takes place on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th September 2010 at Ullapool, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland.

Keane
Leading the new confirmations is one of the newest acts in the UK (having only played 2 London shows to date), Mt. Desolation who will be performing on the Saturday in Big Top.

This Alt-County group is fronted by Tim Rice-Oxley and Jesse Quin who are better known in their roles with Keane, and their debut album is due for release later this year and features performances from members of The Killers, Mumford & Sons, Noah And The Whale, The Long Winters and Pete Roe.

Also added to the bill are Aberfeldy who are set to release their third album 'Somewhere to Jump From' in a month, and traditional music stars Skerryvore.

They join the previously announced Idlewild, Turin Brakes, The Bad Shepherds, The Vatersay Boys, and Silver Columns, at this small intimate festival which is geared towards entertaining the local community.

The headliners are still to be announced for the festival which returns for its sixth outing this September and has a 2500 capacity. Situated in the pretty little fishing village of Ullapool on the shores Loch Broom Loopallu has activities for all ages in addition to the music. The festival also offers local food and drink along with fringe events throughout the village.

Early bird tickets for the festival are on sale, priced at £55 without camping, or £70 with weekend camping, and caravan tickets are priced at £25. Under-12s are free, though everyone under 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult. To buy tickets, click here.
