More acts have been announced for this year's Connect Festival, which is taking place at Inveraray Castle, Loch Fyne, Argyll from Friday 31st August to Sunday 2nd September.

The Hold Steady have been added to the main stage line-up on the Saturday, joining bands like Primal Scream, Mogwai and Teenage Fanclub. Seasick Steve will also play the main stage, but on Sunday, playing below Bjork, LCD Soundsystem, and Regina Spektor.

Captain have now been confirmed to play the Guitars And Other Machines Stage on the Friday. Sons & Daughters and Astrid Williamson will play the same stage on the Saturday, and How I Became The Bomb on the Sunday.

New additions for the Manicured Noise tent are Slam and Vector Lovers on the Friday, Two Gallants, Nathan Fake, CircleSquare, and Numbers DJs on the Saturday, and Jim Hutchison & Brian Murnin on Sunday.
