More acts have been announced for Connect, which is taking place at Inveraray Castle, Loch Fyne, Argyll from Friday 31st August to Sunday 2nd September.

Newly confirmed for the main Oyster Stage are post-punks Fire Engines (Saturday), and Scottish producer Craig Armstrong (Sunday).

Headlining the Guitars and Other Machines on Friday night are Super Furry Animals, while Echo & the Bunnymen play the same stage on the Saturday.

Also on the Guitars and Other Machines on Friday are Glasgow based four-piece Aereogramme, who announced this week that they are splitting up after four years, and they have chosen the first ever Connect to be their last ever show.

Previously confirmed acts include The Beastie Boys, The Jesus and Mary Chain, CSS, Primal Scream, Jarvis Cocker, Mogwai, The Divine Comedy, Modest Mouse, The Only Ones, Bjork, LCD Soundsystem, Idlewild, Tilly and the Wall, King Creosote, and more - click here for all the details to-date.
