If you're not at the Reading or Leeds festivals this weekend, you don't have to miss out entirely. Sets from the Main Stage will be available as webcasts from here.

They'll also be some 'intimate backstage sessions' available via the webcasts, from a tent backstage 'to an exclusive audience of less than 100'. Isn't that nice of them, sponsoring the festival to which you've bought a ticket, and then telling you you're excluded from joining in. Nice!

But like all the 'backstage fun', there is none. You might get to hear about the 'special' things going on for 'special' people, but don't let it bother you. The real fun is always out-front, while backstage is full of these 'special' people who'll want you to believe you're missing out on something 'special' - you're not.

Backstage is full of people working to bring you the festival, along with those who have no interest in what it's all about other than telling anyone who'll listen that they're special cos they're backstage. We wonder, did many of these 'special' people go to a special school? It sure seems like it! ;-)

If you're off to Reading or Leeds have a great one, and we'll have exclusive photos and reviews of all the REAL fun for the real music fans.

Reading and Leeds festivals both take place from Friday 26th until Sunday 28th August, with Reading festival at Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire, and Leeds festival at Bramham Park, Leeds, West Yorkshire.

The confirmed line-ups for both Reading and Leeds festivals include the headliners of Pixies, Foo Fighters, and Iron Maiden, along with The Killers, Kings of Leon, Marilyn Manson, Queens of the Stone Age, Razorlight, Incubus, and many more.
