Tickets for WOMAD 2005 - which takes place at Rivermead, Reading, from Friday 29th until Sunday 31st July - have been selling at record levels since they went on sale in March, and weekend tickets have now sold out - earlier than ever before. There's still a chance to go though, as day tickets are still available.

More acts have also been confirmed, with BILL COBHAM & CULTURE MIX (USA/Germany/Denmark/Sweden /UK), PINA KOLLARS (Austria), RAVIBANDHU VIDYAPATHY & ENSEMBLE (Sri Lanka), URBAN MAGIK (UK), and ZHENG CHENGWEI & CHENG YU (China) joining the line-up of over 70 artists from 37 countries.

And newly confirmed for the BBC Radio 3's 'World On Your Street' stage are Athena Andreadis (Greece), Atongo Zimba (Ghana), Candela (Ghana), Carmen Souza (Cape Verde), Gypsy Voices (Poland), Jally Keba Susso (Gambia), Kike Pedersen (Paraguay), Manickham Yogaswaren (Sri Lanka), Nana Tsiboe (Ghana), Papa Year (Columbia), The Gloworms (UK), The Heritage Survival Band From Zim (Zimbabwe), and Tigran Aleksnayan (Armenia).

The previously confirmed line-up includes Richie Havens, Youssou N'Dour et le Super Etoile de Dakar, Apache Indian & the Reggae Revolution, and many more. See here for the full list of the acts so far confirmed, including day splits.

As well as the music, WOMAD also offers hundreds of participatory workshops for adults and children, late night grooves at 'Club WOMAD', the cabaret tent, a kids' procession, a small traditional funfair, and probably the best festival markets anywhere, for over 26,000 attendees.
