Limp Bizkit - one of the headline acts - have pulled out of the Download Festival, which takes place at Donington Park on 31st May/1st June.
The reason given is that they are held up finishing their album. Singer Fred Durst - who seems unable to string a sentence together without it being full of expletives (trying to sound hard Fred?) - doesn't offer any apology for the withdrawal. They'd pulled out of a show at Milton Keynes Bowl in 2001, supposedly due to poor old Fred's bad back.
Nevermind ... Download's second day still has a cracking line-up that includes Audioslave, Zwan, Less Than Jake, Disturbed, along with the whole Deconstruction Tour package with skateboarding, BMXing, Wrestling and all headlined by legendary punk rockers NOFX.
