So then, is Wickerman a festival worth a visit? In short, yes.

A stunning location, combined with a very friendly & laid back atmosphere that builds to a party that goes on through the night ensures that this is now a festival on my 'must go' list.

Criticisms? well, not many to be honest. I heard a few grumbles about the number of toilets on site, and as I stood in line watching people turn blue with blood poisoning owing to the wait I must admit that's a view I shared. I also heard a number of comments over the number of Police on site, and while they were for the most part unobtrusive, this remains the only fesival where I've seen sniffer dogs worked through crowds in the arena.

Is it the Glastonbury of the North? Probably not, more like Beautiful Days' older brother. Should you go? Definately!
