Bowling for Soup are one of those groups that I have heard so much about but never got the chance to catch them live, so I made a special effort to catch these so that I could see what all the fuss is about.

Their music would be classed as punk rock, but with a sense of humour, they brought a much needed boost of energy to the Leeds crowd that were still hung over from the night before.

Bowling for Soup

'Emily' and 'Punk rock 101' caused the audience to start jumping around and singing along. They even managed to slip in a punked up version of Bryan Adams 'Summer of 69' which left the audience on a high.

Bowling For Soup were full of life and their lead singer Jaret is rather charismatic, not only that, but this was one of only a handful of groups that seemed happy to be playing and weren't just going through the motions.

Definitely one of my personal highlights of the weekend!
