Kendal Calling is a medium sized festival offering a variety of entertainment ranging from international headlining acts to spoken word and comedy.
Kendal calling is staged in the picturesque Lowther dear park just south of Penrith, deep in the heart in the Lake District. Featuring the main stage encompassed in a natural tree strewn bowl, adding to an amazing atmosphere, there are many other smaller stages catering for most tastes from EDM to more blues and folk centric bands.
Kendal Calling also plays host to a CAMRA Real Ale Festival on site for those of you partial to the odd real ale.
Kendal calling is very much a family friendly festival, and also promotes fancy dress on the Saturday.
There is a range of camping facilities on offer at Kendal Calling, ranging from normal camping, family camping, up to the emperors field, which offers a bit more space, and parking next to the camping field, with compost toilets and more showers available per head.
