Corey and Jim made another triumphant return back to the Donington stage with Stone Sour. Opening up with a song kicking off with a loud and heavy rolling drum intro, it would seem that they’ve done this before. They do well to emphasise on this, put in loud meaty rock guitars and of course with Corey’s trademark vocals available at their disposal. Stone Sour is much more solid overall and nicely stripped down to the metal roots.

Frequently referring to people in the crowd as f*ckers at every available opportunity, Corey hasn’t forgotten a trick, nor has he watered down on the attitude. This attitude also reflects from the rest of the band who have an easy job working the crowd.

Songs off the new up and coming album also seem to go down well. Where songs like ‘Reborn’ echo the bands hard rocking sound.

Over the years he’s become a bit of a legend himself and Corey has done well to establish Stone Sour away from his other band, which was never going to be an easy task. It’s good to see them back and recapturing some of the old magic.
