Police investigating two deaths at T in the Park

The doors to this weekend's T in the Park opened yesterday and sadly local police have confirmed they are investigating reports of the deaths of two individuals at the Scottish event.

Police Scotland have confirmed they are looking into reports of the death of a female and separate death of a male at the music festival.

The deaths are unexplained at this time and work is ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding both.

Police were unable to comment further at this stage.

The festival at Strathallan Castle in Perthshire runs until Sunday 10th July 2016, and features a line-up that includes tonight's headliners the Stone Roses, plus Calvin Harris, LCD Soundsystem, Chase & Status, Faithless, Bastille, The 1975, Disclosure, Courteeners, Alesso, Jamie xx, James Morrison, Frightened Rabbit, Oliver Heldens, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Hannah Wants, Bear’s Den, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Krept & Konan, The Coral, The Temperance Movement, Oh Wonder, The Last Shadow Puppets, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Jess Glynne, Kaiser Chiefs, Pete Tong, Wstrn, Travis, Tinie Tempah, Tom Odell, Jack Garratt, Stiff Little Fingers, Shed Seven, Disciples, Rat Boy, Maxi Jazz & The E-Type Boys, Major Lazer, James Bay, Jake Bugg, Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls, Lightning Seeds, Alessia Cara, Ash, Augustines, Sunset Sons, Borns, DMA's, Vant, The Struts, The Sherlocks, JR Green, Craig David’s TS5, Slaves, Maximo Park, John Grant, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, FIDLAR, Blossoms, and more.
