Hydro Connect festival which takes place at Inveraray Castle, Loch Fyne, Argyll, Scotland over the weekend of Friday 29th to Sunday 31st August have announced a host of new additions to the bill.

Added to the bill on the Sunday in the Unknown Pleasures tent is ex-Kraftwerk's Karl Bartos, Hudson Mohawke, Kinky Afro, and Huntleys & Palmers Audio Club.

Joining Optimo residents JD Twitch & JG Wilkes on Friday in Unknown Pleasures is Joakim (playing a rare live set), Selector Jah Shaka Original Zulu Warrior, Correcto, O.s.c.a.r.r., Findo Gask, Dave Barbarossa (DJ) with Sparks, and Crystal Castles already confirmed.

New additions to the Bandstand Stage include The Phantom Band, Galchen, Amplifico, We Were Promised Jetpacks, A-Lix, The Moth And the Mirror, Gdansk, Endor, Integra TV, Emily Scott, and Sparrow And the Workshop.

Hydro Connect is located an hour and a half from Glasgow and two hours from Edinburgh, making it a great day out. For the green-friendly option you can also travel by coach. Day trippers can sit back and relax and let Citylink take them around Loch Lomond to the festival site.

The line-up over the three days consists of Kasabian, Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros, Paulo Nutini, Spiritualized, Manic Street Preachers, Bloc Party, Goldfrapp, Conor Oberst & The Magic Valley Band, The Gutter Twins, Duffy, Joan As Policewoman, Gossip, Nick Cave's Grinderman, Amy MacDonald, Elbow, The Gossip, Howling Bells, Mercury Rev, The Coral (Acoustic), Roots, The Breeders, Levellers, and Camera Obscura, Sia and more. As well as acts there will also be an enchanted forest party, a chill out tree area and 'gourmet food' on offer, including Loch Fyne Oysters, Venison Burgers, Bumble Pudding as well as Fyne Ales and 70 whiskies to sample in the Whisky bar. There are also bespoke camping options, an array of alternative entertainment, and spa facilities on offer.

Both the car parks and coach drop-off point are a 20 minute plus walk from the campsite entrance, so make sure you don't take more than you can carry.
