Winterwell is an independent festival weekender set in the heart of the Gloucestershire countryside over the Friday 19th to Sunday 21st June 2009.
Shying away from the bigger, overly commercialized festivals and looking to provide a more intimate, organic party experience, Winterwell is a private boutique festival.
Artists confirmed for the weekend include Norman Jay, and Metronomy are confirmed as the 2009 headliners. Other acts on the eclectic bill include: The Nextmen, Moshi Moshi DJs, Slow Club, Josh Weller, Wave Pictures, Fanfarlo, Smerins Antisocial Club, Mano De Dios, Animal Kingdom, Magic Arm, Mark Hole, Rox, Sunharbour, 9 Ton Peanut Smugglers, Teeth, Plugs, The Federals, Congregation, The Severed Limb, Stornoway, John Crampton, and His Girl Friday. This year Moshi Moshi will be hijacking the main stage and bringing along their favourite acts of 2009.
To get a ticket priced at £85 you need to know one of the organizers or have been invited by someone who went last year, so you have to do some detective work to get your hands on one but it will be well worth it, if you happen across their website the password is outerspace.
Each year the festival has a theme for fancy dress and this year's theme is Outerspace. As well as music there's all the usual festival extras and the campsite is open until the Monday.
More information will be here when available.
