Village Pump Folk Festival04-10-2011Village Pump Folk Festival organised by the Trowbridge Village Pump Folk Club started in 2012 and takes place in July at the White Horse Country Park, in Wiltshire. The festival will be held beneath the Westbury White Horse and will "celebrate the best in Folk, Roots and Acoustic music".The event which offers fun for all types, and ages will have two main stages. The first of these is a large marquee hosting well known Folk, Roots and Acoustic acts, and the second is within the country club itself and will stage ceilidhs, alongside hosting up and coming acts, and established acts who suit a more intimate atmosphere. As well as the two main stages there will also be a number of smaller sessions and family oriented tents, plus bars and trade stalls. Camping will be on a large, flat camping field which will allow festival goers on site from Thursday 19th July. The campsite will be a short walk from the main arena, and for those that would prefer not to walk, there will be a shuttle bus running every day. The new event is organised by the Trowbridge Village Pump Folk Club which in no way represent the company who ran the old Trowbridge Village Pump Festival, however several of the people putting on the new festival had been involved with the old festival for years. listed events:- |
