T in the Park will return to Balado in 2006 on 8th & 9th July. Expect a great line-up of over 150 live acts and DJs on lots of stages.

Headlining on the Saturday are Red Hot Chili Peppers, and headlining on the Sunday are The Who. Confirmed acts include:- Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, Sigur Ros, Richard Ashcroft, Primal Scream, The Ordinary Boys, Damian Marley, Felix da Housecat, Slam, and many more - click here for the full details to date (as available).

As well as live acts the festival will include alternative entertainment with the Silent Disco, XFM Fluid Grooves (playing music after the bands have stopped playing), Superdrug Backstage, Ninetendo Comedy Cafe, and lots more.

All tickets sold out. They were priced at £115 for the weekend with camping, and £97.50 with no camping. Day tickets are priced at £56.50 for each day.

As in previous years, Citylink will be operating frequent services from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth and Dundee. In addition to this there will now be direct services running to the event from the following destinations: Aberdeen, Alloa, Ayr, Cowdenbeath, Cupar, Dunfermline, Falkirk, Glenrothes, Greenock, Inverness, Kelty, Kilmarnock, Kirkcaldy, Paisley, Pitlochry, St Andrews and Stirling. For details call Citylink on 08705 501501 or visit www.citylink.co.uk.

A new Cup recycling initiative will be in place at this year’s festival. There will be special recycling bins placed around the site for festival goers to dispose of their plastic cups.

Organisers are warning people who don't have a ticket not to bother coming to the festival. There will be a fortress fence in place that stretches around the entire perimeter of the site.

Festival goers in possession of a weekend ticket with camping will not be allowed entry through the main entrance. If you have a weekend ticket with camping then you must go to the Campsite Entrance to gain access to the festival. This is the same whether you arrive on Friday or Saturday.
