The majority of festival events take place in Langney, in two schools and a community centre on the east side of town from Friday 4th until Monday 7th May.

The emphasis is on dancing, to participate in, watch, lead and make music for, covering a wide range of tastes and styles from Playford, English Social, American and International Folk Dance, with evening dances in those styles.

Line-up

Confirmed acts are Anne Leach, Bare Necessities, Colin Hume, English Contra Dance Band, Folkus Pocus, Kathmandu Artists Club, Kathy Lawmon, Gene Murrow, Geoff Cubitt, Jim Kitch, Keeping Thyme, and Stradivarious.

Tickets

The early bird has ended. A season ticket which gains admittance to all events is priced at £72, day tickets will also be available. Camping charges are held at £25 per unit. Applications for tickets to: Festival Office, 24 Inwood Rd, Wembdon, Bridgwater, TA6 7PP, or telephone 01278 424332.

In order for folk fans to concentrate on dancing and playing, all the venues are close together, within a short walking distance. Also close by is a canteen for snacks, the school which provides light meals and a bar for hard and soft drinks.

Accommodation

There are plenty of places to stay around town as well as local camping facilities.
