Chiddingly Festival is now 37 years old and happens from Saturday 19th September to Saturday 4th October in the village of Chiddingly in East Sussex, near to Hailsham, North of Eastbourne.

Line-up

Jo Brand is ill and has had to cancel her gig - Simon Evans will replace her.

Cuckmere Border Morris & Hannah’s Cat, Chiddingly Mummers, Barb Jungr, Six Bells Folk and Blues Club, Noise Next Door, Jo Caulfield, Young 'Uns, Fiesta, The Amazing Adventures of Librarian Lil, and The Benyounes Quartet.

Artists of national and international renown have come to this small village, performing in intimate surroundings which creates a unique experience for the audience. The festival has also given a platform for artists starting out on their careers.

The festival programme includes events to suit all ages and tastes. Entirely organised by volunteers, and a not for profit event, it celebrates all the arts with music classical, folk, jazz, drumming); poetry; dance; puppetry; story-telling and literature; and comedy.

The Beer Festival Weekend is a mini festival in itself providing alongside ales and ciders live music, plus a BBQ, workshops, and an Art and Craft Exhibition.

All acts start at different times but 8pm is usual for evenings.
