Chiddingly Festival 2008

This year is the 30th Anniversary of Chiddingly Festival which happens from Thursday 18th September to Sunday 5th October.

The music and dance programme includes Claire Martin, Siyaya, Faustus, Haydn, Bartok and Debussy with the Badke Quartet, Delia Rosenboom, and The Dawgs.

Artists of national and international renown have come to this small village, performing in intimate surroundings which creates a unique experience for the audience. The festival has also given a platform for artists starting out on their careers.

Ticket prices are still to be confirmed, and will be available soon.

The festival programme includes events to suit all ages and tastes providing music, art, dance, culture and comedy. Events include a beer festival weekend, live music, food fair, lamb roast, a silent film 'Show People' with musical accompaniment from David Cullen, an evening of comedy with Jeremy Hardy star of the 'News Quiz', and an art and craft exhibition. In the Church there will be an exhibition of photographs and a performance by the local school children to celebrate the history of Chiddingly and the festival.

The festival will also have workshops, literary events, and puppetry performances for children, plus 'The Village Show' and for the first time will include a Beer Festival with live music featuring local talent, and beers by many local breweries.
