The 33rd Upton Upon Severn International Jazz Festival is going to feature many more intimate venues as part of an effort to return to its roots for this year's edition, which will take place at various venues in Upton upon Severn, Worcestershire from Thursday 21st to Sunday 24th June 2018.

Fifty gigs will take place over the four days of the festival, featuring acts such as:- Bev Begg's Good Time Gang, Keith Nichols, Michael McQuaid, Spats Langham, Basin Street Brawlers, Jake Leg Jug Band, The Water Gypsies, Jazz Connection, Mama Shakers, James Evans, and more. The festival's musical director Rachel Hayward commented on the plans for this year:

“This year’s festival is going to be better than ever.

“After feedback from our festival-goers in 2017, we took the decision to move it back into the town where it first began 33 years ago, to more intimate venues which make the most of Upton’s fantastic atmosphere.

“Several long-standing jazz festivals have fallen by the wayside in recent years, but this will give Upton a new lease of life. We can’t wait for June.”
