Debs Armstrong the main creative force behind Shangri-La, everyone's favourite late night entertainment area that appears once a year within Glastonbury Festival, has stepped back from her roles of Area Manager and creative director for the naughty corner at next year's Festival.

Debs has found it increasingly difficult to sustain the all-nighters required for Shangri-La. Ever the creative though she's almost ready to reveal a new project she's been working on under embargo for almost 3 years - a new event -"an immersive festival of health and happiness which feels like paradise!"

It's top secret at present but all will be revealed next month.

Deb will still be the chairman of Shangri La and will be chairing their quarterly meetings. Chris Tofu will be the area manager, Kaye Dunnings is going to be the creative director, and Robin Collings will be Co-Producing.

The story arc of Shangri-Heaven and Shangri-Hell continues next year following on from corporate horror, and political turmoil it moves it's focus to the media next year. Expect more news on that nearer the time.

Glastonbury Festival will take place on 2,000 acres around a farm in Pilton, Somerset over five full days from Wednesday 23rd until Sunday 27th June 2016. As ever, entry includes a free programme. Once again, the Festival will be raising more than £2 million in funds for Oxfam, Wateraid, Greenpeace and a host of local charities and causes.

There are no acts confirmed yet for 2016. Expect something like 2,000 performances at over 100 venues including music, cabaret, theatre, circus, a fantastic Kidz area, poetry, green crafts and information, site art, decor, and loads, loads more ... much more than just the music, so make sure you check it all out!

As usual eFestivals will bring you the very best-sourced rumours, allowing festival-goers to see who is playing long before the bands are formally announced - keep your eyes on the Glastonbury 2016 rumours, updated as we receive information.
