As predicted Glastonbury Festival's Sunday night headlining act will be The Who, and the supporting act on Sunday will be Paul Weller.

The Who have today been announced by Glastonbury Festival as headliners of the sold out Glastonbury Festival eight years after they first played there.

The Festival revealed the news with a new line-up poster showing the names and added, "We’re delighted to announce that The Who will headline Sunday night at Glastonbury Festival 2015, with Paul Weller playing the penultimate slot."

The band Who celebrate their 50th year together this summer are undertaking a 'final' world tour and promise to take the audience on an 'Amazing Journey' through their entire career from the days of 'The High Numbers' to classic albums such as 'Who's Next', 'Tommy', 'Quadrophenia', 'My Generation', 'Live At Leeds' up to the present day.

Lead singer Roger Daltry, is quoted as saying, "It’s great to be ending this part of a 50 year career at the most prestigious and respected music festival in the world. We’ll do our best to close this years event with a bang, unless of course the fireworks get wet!"

More acts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

This year's sold out Glastonbury Festival runs for five full days from Wednesday 24th until Sunday 28th June 2015 across over a 1,000 acres of beautiful countryside at Worthy Farm, Pilton in Somerset.

As ever, entry includes a free programme. Once again, the Festival will be raising more than £2 million in funds for Oxfam, Wateraid, Greenpeace and and hundreds of other worthy causes, both local and international.

The full complete line-up will not be announced until next month. Expect something like 2,000 performances at over 100 venues including music, cabaret, theatre, circus, a fantastic Kidz area, poetry, green crafts and information, site art, decor, and loads, loads more ... much more than just the music, so make sure you check it all out!
