DJ Yoda, and Dinosaur Pile Up lead latest acts for Kendal Calling

The sold out 'outer space' themed Kendal Calling has announced more acts for the line-up from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd August 2014, at Lowther Deer Park, Hackthorpe, in the Lake District.

Added to the bill are DJ Yoda, Dinosaur Pile Up, Giddy Gringos, Nordic Giants, Balthazar, Man Without Country, Winters Island, C-HoneyCuts, Hot Vestry, Sam Brookes, Robinson Boone, and Pusher.

Kendal Calling has also announced that the Jagermeister stage will return, with DJs spinning classic beach party anthems from the likes of the King of Pop, Sister Sledge, The Trammps, Earth, Wind and Fire and many, many more. Open each day the Jager Residents will kick start things from 1-6pm with ‘The Beat Goes On’,  before Liam Young, and Stu Plimsoles take control for the evening sessions from 6pm-3am. Friday will also feature special guests Double Agent 7 for a 2 hour take over from 4-6pm.

The line-up is lead by Friday headliner Suede, and Saturday's headliner Frank Turner And The Sleeping Souls. Also confirmed are De La Soul, 2manydjs (DJ Set), Happy Mondays, Miles Kane, Zane Lowe, Clean Bandit, Frightened Rabbit, Jimi Goodwin, Gorgon City, Andy C, Bondax, Mr Scruff, Tom Odell, Razorlight, Newton Faulkner, Athlete, Ella Eyre, Mr Scruff, Reel Big Fish, The Heavy, Catfish & The Bottlemen, Rae Morris, Saint Raymond, Dub Pistols, Jess Glynne, Womans Hour, Findlay, Breton, Josh Record, Kimberly Anne, Amber Run, Gallery Circus, Lanterns on the Lake, The Lucid Dream, Johnny Borrell & Zazou, The Lancashire Hotpots, Aquilo, DJ Food, Cheeba, DJ Moneyshot, Zion Train, and many more.

Kendal Calling festival offers array of performance art, comedy and spoken word with decent food, a real ale festival, the dedicated children's Ladybird Arena and much more, over the weekend.

The Kendal Calling Academy (in association with the University of Cumbria) provides three days of talks and debates with luminaries from arts and culture as well as guests and partnerships. Virgin Galactic's Commercial Director Stephen Attenborough will speak extensively about their tests flights in California and their plans to introduce the first ever-commercial space flights. Kendal Mountain Festival will also bring festival goers outdoor, mountain and adventure films, talks and debate. Other highlights include panels with The Idler Academy, John Robb, Andrew Mueller, Dave Haslam and Sarah Walters. A range of University of Cumbria students on courses including event management, journalism, creative writing, and film and TV will be working at the festival to gain professional experience in this field. The University of Cumbria will be sharing the students’ work throughout the festival on the university’s website.

Kendal Calling further develop its partnership with Virgin Trains to bring festival goers the Soul On Wheels Roller Disco featuring sets from DJ Yoda and others.

Last year's the festival sold out in the middle of June this year it was mid May!
