The rumour has been strongly circulating for a month or so, but eFestivals is now fully confident that Glastonbury Festival's Sunday night Pyramid Stage headliner this year will be Kasabian.

The Leicester rockers have released four albums, and are currently working on a fifth studio album due to be released before Glastonbury Festival. They have previously made four appearances at the Festival, the last time in 2009. It will be the first time the 'Velociraptor!' band will headline the Pyramid stage, a decade after their first appearance in 2004.

Festival organiser and farmer Michael Eavis had previously said none of this year's headliners had played before but it's clear that was incorrect, with Arcade Fire announced for Friday, and now Kasabian almost certain to headline the Sunday night.

All that remains is the name of Saturday's headlining act, with all sorts of possible acts being talked about.

This summer's sold out event will run for five full days from Wednesday 25th until Sunday 29th June 2014 across over a 1,000 acres of countryside at Worthy Farm, Somerset.
