Next year's T in the Park will party until the early hours as Councillors have voted to keep the music going until 1am to allow for two co-headlining acts to both perform in darkness.

Perth and Kinross Council’s licensing committee today agreed to the hour-long extension for the Saturday evening which organisers hope will attract more top international acts to next year’s festival.

They believe that extending the operating time for the full arena from midnight to 1am was vital to helping the Balado festival compete with other events across Britain and abroad.

Event manager Colin Roger of DF Concerts stated, "This request for a variation to the licence is because we have the opportunity to bring two international headliner artists to the T in the Park line-up in a co-headliner format.

To achieve this both acts would need to perform in darkness which is why we have requested this extension of the operating times.

T in the Park will be celebrating it's 21st year at Balado from Friday 11th until Sunday 13th July 2014 with early entry available on Thursday 10th July.

Headliners the Arctic Monkeys are the only act to be announced. For the line-up details as available please click here.

The 21st anniversary edition will be offering a huge variety of music for 85,000 music fans across seven main stages with large camping areas, as well as other attractions, including a large funfair, comedy tent, silent disco, stalls, and food markets.

Tickets are not currently on sale, eFestivals will let you know when they go back on sale.
