Neil Innes brings the Seventh Python to Musicport

Musical comedian Neil Innes member of the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, The Rutles, and collaborator with Monty Python, appearing in a number of films and TV shows alongside the infamous Pythons has been confirmed to appear on the Sunday of the festival.

Neil has also agreed for Musicport Festival to show the biographical film 'The Seventh Python' earlier that same day.

Also recently confirmed for the 14th Musicport takes place from Friday 18nd until Sunday 20th October, at Whitby Pavilion, in North Yorkshire are Maia, Snowapple, Jackie Oates, The Peace Artistes, Hekima & the Bongo Flava, Arifa, Latif Bolat, Harp and a Monkey, Salsa Como Loco, Me & My Friends, Soham, and The Well-Dressed Gentlemen.

The line-up includes headliners Tamikrest, Neville Staple Band, and Amira Amulette Trio, plus Baladi Blues, Skip 'Little Axe' McDonald, Ergo Phizmiz, Jon Sterckx, Whiskey Dogs, Boff Whalley, DJ Derek, The Orchestra That Fell To Earth (original members of Penguin Cafe Orchestra), Los Chinches, Ballet Nimba, Radik Tulush, Louis Barrabas & The Bedlam Six, Moulettes, Wonderful Sound Of The Cinema Organ, Himmerland, Tantz, Jadid Ensemble, The Young'Uns, Hoda, Steve Folk, Dan Walsh, Mestisa, Patsy Matheson, CC Smugglers, Common Tongue, Lanre, Plumhall, Luke Sharples, Forro Porro, and DJ Tooley.

Musicport offers music, culture, food and crafts from all over the world throughout 3 days. With over 50 acts in one indoor venue over 5 stages the music comes from acts from Tuva, Denmark, Peru, Zimbabwe, Bosnia, USA, Tanzania, Mali, Iran & Egypt, and more. The festival also includes live art projections in the DJ cafe, a comic opera about the history of yodelling by Ergo Phizmiz, free fringe events at The Metropole Hotel, films, workshops, a festival bazaar as well as themed food and real ale street events, school and community workshops.

Weekend tickets are priced at £85 with concession tickets priced at £80, children aged 11s-18 tickets are half price, and under 11s can attend free (accompanied).
