Musicport World Music Festival

02-12-2008

First organised in 1999, this festival offers a plethora of performance with over 40 acts. In 2008 the festival moved to a new venue, the Bridlington Spa Theatre and Royal Hall, on Bridlington's sea front.

The new venue has a capacity for 3,500 people and includes two main stages, an acoustic stage, and a DJ room (including silent disco). There's an adult workshop programme and numerous stalls selling musical instruments, crafts and so forth as well as information stalls on issues of global interest, films, and a festival bazaar. There are separate children's festival events (around £2 for 3 hour session) and a range of artists working specifically on the children's festival stage.
