16 international festivals, promoters and labels have come together to create a new one-off event called One Of These Days happening on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th December at Blackpool's Winter Gardens.

The festival of festivals is a collaboration of various events including Field Day, Oya Festival, Melt!, Kendal Calling, Glastonbury Dance Village, Electric Elephant, End of The Road, DFA Records, SWN Festival, The Warehouse Project, Now Wave, Free Rotation, Eden Sessions, Fiber Festival, and Shambala, and one other major international festival's participation is yet to be announced.

The two day one-off event hopes to bring the look, feel, ethos and style of each event to the many rooms of the multi-venue indoor complex in the shadow of the Blackpool Tower, curating a line-up that reflects their own celebrated events. In total over 150 acts will perform over the two days with interactive art, film installations and a winter market also planned for the new event.

The end of the year event will bring together a taste of each festival's identity to Blackpool and will include the Cubehenge light installation of Glastonbury and Big Chill, indoor forests inspired by End of the Road and even the feel of the Croatian beaches of Electric Elephant.

One of These Days hopes with the help of Ear to the Ground, Now Wave, and the Arts Council to kick start a cultural redevelopment of the seaside town and utilise Blackpool's existing infrastructure of Victorian theatres and bars that stretch the coastline.

Ruth Daniel, Promoter, One Of These Days said, "We were going around the world to many different festivals seeing really unique ways of doing things. We decided to invite these wonderful festivals to the party. Our vision is to have one site where each space within it is filled by a micro-version of each festival, not just musically, but visually – capturing the essence of each festival. We aimed high and asked the festivals we love to come to Blackpool. They said yes."

An early bird weekend ticket is priced at £59. Day tickets for Saturday, or Sunday are priced at £44.50. To buy tickets, click here.

Accommodation is limited to whatever is available in Blackpool that weekend. There's no campsite near to the Winter Gardens but there should be up to 80,000 beds available across the town. Book well in advance.
