Mastodon pull out of T in the Park

Atlanta metallers Mastodon have pulled out of their appearance at T in the Park.

A statement from T in the Park says, "We are sorry to announce that Mastodon have had to withdraw from the upcoming T in the Park bill due to a change of touring plan outwith their control. The band has had to curtail their tour by one week meaning they won't be able to perform at the festival. We are very sorry to lose them off the bill and apologise to TITP fans that were looking forward to seeing the band. More artist confirmations will follow soon."

The T in the Park 2012 line-up heading for Balado over the weekend of Friday 6th to Sunday 8th July includes headliners Snow Patrol, The Stone Roses and Kasabian. Also confirmed are Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Florence + The Machine, Tinie Tempah, New Order, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Nicki Minaj, Swedish House Mafia, Elbow, Example, Professor Green, Kaiser Chiefs, Jessie J, Chase & Status, Skrillex, The Temper Trap, Hilltop Hoods, Fun. King Charles, The Parlotones, Dog is Dead, Sven Vath, Bombay Bicycle Club, Feeder, J. Cole, Emeli Sande, Ben Howard, Happy Mondays, James Morrison, The Darkness, Miike Snow, The Maccabees, The Horrors, Miles Kane, The Vaccines, Maverick Sabre, Frank Turner, Two Door Cinema Club, Devlin, Bellowhead, Little Roy, Spector, and more.

Tickets for T in the Park 2012 are priced as follows:

A full weekend camping ticket (Fri-Sun arena access) £189
A full weekend with Thursday camping (Thurs - Sun) £199
A weekend (Fri-Sun) with no camping £179
A Saturday or Sunday day ticket £77.50
Friday only £70

No under 5s. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult 21+ with a full priced ticket.
