Y-Not Festival organisers have taken the event over from founders Joe and Robin Bennett, who started the event back in 1998. The much-loved event was spared an uncertain future earlier this year and returns over the weekend of Friday 20th and Saturday 21st July at it's usual home of Hill Farm in Steventon.

In an exclusive interview with eFestivals (here), Ralph Broadbent, Director of Y Not, talks about the revived event.

He first heard about the festivals from the news story by eFestivals - (here). He explains, "Well, we first read about it on your website, obviously the first port of call for festival news. I'd met Robin, one of the organisers at 2000Trees quite a few years ago. 2000Trees is our sister festival. I dropped him an email to see if there was anything we could do to help. Obviously, i didn't know what the situation was. I bumped into him again at the festival awards and we sat down and had breakfast the next day and talked about it. He thought there might be some way of saving it... we chatted about it, looked at what the situation was in a bit of detail, and we found there might be a way out where Truck could continue."

2012 will see the 15th anniversary of Truck, which has seen a huge spectrum of the great and the good of the live music world showcase their talents across the various years and stages. Ralph Broadbent said of the back to basics approach, "We have obviously lowered ticket prices but still making sure we keep all the things that have made Truck great – the layout of old, the community feel and loads of great bands plus the legendary Barn Stage will return!"

He continued: "It is really a mixture of the old and the new, we want to take Truck forward to a bright new future, we have a brand new website on the way, obviously an amazing new line up yet to be announced but all the while ensuring that everyone who has always supported the event, in the local community and beyond will recognise this as Truck festival."

Early bird tickets are priced at £59 (with a strictly limited number available). General sale tickets will be priced at £69. No day tickets and under 12's go free.
