tickets for The Stone Roses three Heaton Park gigs sold out

Tickets for the third coming of The Stone Roses live dates in Manchester's Heaton Park went on sale from 9.30am today, and by midday all 220,000 had sold out.

The baggy four-piece will play outdoor shows at Heaton Park, Manchester on Friday 29th, and Saturday 30th June 2012 with a new date Sunday 1st July 2012 added today. These three dates will be followed by a world tour, and eFestivals anticipates that more European dates are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets were priced at £55 and limited to four per person, Friday and Saturday sold out within half an hour of going on sale, with the added Sunday date, and tickets with coach travel, selling out soon after. The last to sell out were some VIP packages priced at £199.

Singer Ian Brown was overjoyed at how fast tickets sold for the three shows, saying, "We plan on spending the rest of the day jumping up and down with our hands in the air."
